Heather + Jake | Lakeside
Heather and Jakes beautiful fall wedding at Lakeside at Welch Estate began on a misty October morning, that turned into one of the most beautiful afternoons of the wedding season.
The couple enjoying a few quiet moments together on the dock, one of my favorite spots on the property. A married moment together is one of the things we really recommend to our couples. The day flies by and its so nice to take a moment to take in the day together.
Heather’s dress was a flowy delicate lace, with full sleeves, and a pearl and gold leaf belt. With Covid making it challenging to make a bridal appointment, she found her dress online at BHLDN.
And it was one of the most twirlable gowns we have ever seen! That has always been a mark of “ the dress” for us! Does it magically make you feel like twirling?
Alexa expertly laid out their detail shots with our styling kit, featuring Silk and Willow dyed silk ribbon and woven runners, an olivewood tray we found at a local market in Lima Peru, and birch wood scraps from a wood working project!
This Voeu Du Coeur ring box is one of my favorite details. It’s such a beautiful way to highlight Heather’s sparkle!
Heather’s bridesmaids were in shades of rust, mauve, and burnt sienna - perfect shades for this crisp fall day. Their flowers were a mix of thistle, roses, and anemones.

Their ceremony was intimate, personal, and beautiful. The family of ducks that makes Lakeside at Welch Estate their home swam by right on schedule during Heather and Jakes couple photos!
After a few shots on the dock they headed out to the field and oak trees at Lakeside for the rest of their portraits and caught the last of the beautiful light that day.
Another of my favorite details from their day was the drapery of First Corinthians:
“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, love never fails.”
The hand lettered seating chart helped guest find their table for dinner.
The couple had an Instax guestbook and one of the things we love to do is snap a few pictures of their details to kick things off in the guestbook! Their Sanitize station was one of our favorite details to put together that day, just because it has to be there doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful too.
Heather and Jake are ice cream people (Snickers Ice Cream bars were suchhhhh a yummy call Heather), so it was only natural they made it a part of their wedding celebration!
And and Ice cream Snickers bar was not a bad way to reward ourselves after event breakdown!
And finally we sent Heather and Jake off with so much love, and some sparkers too!
